ITIDA Organizes Webinar on DX Strategies for Oil, Gas Industries

The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is organizing a free webinar titled “Oil and Gas 4.0 and Digital Twins: Future Digital Transformation Strategies for the Oil and Gas Industry,” on July 24.

The webinar will explore the opportunities associated with designing and implementing successful digital transformation strategies, considering the nature of the oil and gas industry. It will highlight the role of “Disruptive Emerging Technologies,” such as Digital Twins, Data Analytics, the Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), in the strategy. Capitalizing on the power of digital transformation worldwide, costs in the oil and gas industry can be reduced annually.

It is worth noting that Digital Twin is a management model bridging the gap between physical and digital assets, and improving situational awareness, thus contributing to accurate and efficient decision-making. It is comprised of five core enabling components, including Actuators, Analytics, Integration, Data, and Sensors.

Established in 2001, SECC aims to boost the local software industry by improving software engineering practices to achieve a strong presence in the global market. The Center provides leading technology services that enhance the efficiency of IT companies and improve their internal capabilities. It also organizes workshops and training courses to enable companies to assimilate and implement modern technology.
