The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched the applied program on sustainable digital project management, with the aim of developing digital project management skills for employees in governorates’ general bureaus, directorates, and departments.
In Damietta Governorate, the program was carried out at Misr Public Library on July 4-6, under the auspices of the ICT Minister and Damietta Governor. The program was attended by 33 employees responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on national and investment projects.
The program was also organized in Port Said on July 9-11, under the auspices of the ICT Minister and Port Said Governor. A total of 33 employees participated in the program.
Furthermore, the program was carried out in Alexandria on July 24-26, under the auspices of the ICT Minister and Alexandria Governor. It was attended by 34 employees at Alexandria general bureau and affiliated directorates and departments.
Employees, through the program, were trained to achieve sustainable resource management and use digital project management tools in short- and medium-term project planning and execution. The aim is to optimize resources, cut spending, reduce waste, and protect the environment, in addition to achieving digital institutional development in the governorates, upskilling employees, and leveraging digitization to manage operations efficiently.
Under the auspices of the ICT Minister and the Minister of Justice, the program was organized on July 16-18 for 23 court officials in economic courts. The aim was to bring about digital transformation and institutional development in economic courts, upskill court officials, improve work performance, ensure work continuity and operational excellence, and deliver swift justice.
The applied program on sustainable digital project management comes within the framework of the Digital Egypt strategy and MCIT efforts in attaining institutional development to support digital transformation. Efforts include building staff and managers’ capacity in digital administration to help institutions embrace digital transformation and ensure its sustainability. The program builds on the outcomes of the periodic visits and meetings of officials from MCIT and governorates to achieve institutional development and digital transformation and ensure sustainability.
