SECC Explores ‘Generative AI, Metaverse: CXO Strategies for Surfing’

The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is organizing a webinar titled “Generative AI and Metaverse: The Riskiest Hype and CXOs’ Strategies for Surfing” on August 9.

The webinar will investigate the opportunities and risks of the Generative AI and Metaverse and provide some food for thought for leaders in the IT industry. It will discuss the strategies that chief experience officers (CXOs) need to balance the great opportunities of both technologies with their associated risks, helping business regain some control over this unprecedented challenge.

Generative AI describes algorithms (such as ChatGPT) that can be used to create new content, including audio, code, images, text, simulations, and videos, according to McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm. Recent breakthroughs in the field have the potential to drastically change the way we approach content creation.

As for Metaverse, it is the emerging 3D-enabled digital space that uses VR, AR, and other advanced Internet and semiconductor technology to allow people to have lifelike personal and business experiences online.

SECC was established in 2001 to support Egypt’s IT Industry. The Center works to bridge the gap between the technologies needed to overcome the economic, social, and environmental challenges and the current technologies, and it plays a leading role in enhancing the quality, efficiency, and level of innovation of ICT companies to improve their global competitiveness.
