Digital Egypt Marvels Initiative: Building Future-Ready Generation
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has launched the Digital Egypt Marvels Initiative (DEMI), a nationwide scholarship program that will equip school students from the fourth to sixth grades of primary school with IT skills.
The initiative reflects the Ministry’s relentless efforts to shape a generation capable of exploring new horizons of ICT and fulfill the national vision of keeping pace with tomorrow's sciences and in-demand skills.
DEMI targets students between the ages of nine and 11, in public, private, experimental, Azharite, and international schools in all Egyptian governorates.
The initiative is part of MCIT digital upskilling strategy, implemented following a multilevel pyramid approach. DEMI complements other training initiatives launched by MCIT to empower young Egyptians to develop the IT skills they need to adapt and thrive in the digital age.
Applicants must meet certain eligibility criteria, including being Egyptian, between the ages of nine and 11, from the fourth to sixth grade of primary school, enrolled in a school in Egypt (public, private, Azharite, experimental, or international), and have an

account (Azharite school students are excluded from this requirement).
Accepted students submit a number of documents: A computerized birth certificate, an official student success statement for the academic year 2022/2023, a certificate of enrollment for the academic year 2022/2023 or 2023/2024, a copy of the parent’s National ID (front and back), and the consent letter (available upon the opening of the call for applications) signed by the parent and including a 4x6 personal photo of the student (white background).
