ITIDA Capacity-Building Initiative in North Sinai: Empowering Community


The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is organizing the Capacity Building Initiative in North Sinai, in collaboration with Arish University. The aim is to equip university students and fresh graduates in North Sinai with IT skills and qualify them for the job marketplace.

The program comes within the framework of the national strategy for developing Sinai and as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to upskill, and improve the employability of, North Sinai inhabitants.
 
The Capacity Building Initiative has been launched under a two-year agreement between ITIDA and Arish University, targeting training 600 citizens per year in computer and language skills.
 
The program is completely free of charge. Participants receive a professional certificate that can be used across 12 countries and six universities.

ITIDA was established in 2004 with the aim of spearheading the development of the local ICT industry and increasing its global competitiveness, thus contributing to the country’s economic growth and creating more job opportunities. The Agency plays a prominent role in building Digital Egypt and developing human capacity by carrying out a large number of training initiatives and programs to build human capital.
