TIEC Empowers Women to Build Thriving Businesses

The Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is organizing a new round of the Women Entrepreneurship Program. The program aims to train women entrepreneurs nationwide on startup methodologies and concepts.

The program provides IT tools to women entrepreneurs to commercialize their products, especially in their early-stage projects, with a focus on developing the logical side of business development rather than a detailed theoretical approach.

About 20 women entrepreneurs will be selected to gain the advantages provided by the program. The program is based on online interactive training with female entrepreneurs working on their own projects while being closely monitored.

The program aims to provide a set of practical skills necessary to achieve the best results, reduce the waste of resources and opportunities, and help them join other entrepreneurship, acceleration and incubation programs within TIEC or other specialized entities.

The program targets women entrepreneurs whose projects are related to ICT, including a website, mobile application, software, or an Internet of Things (IoT)-powered platform; or those who have any project that can be upgraded with a digital marketing interface, such as handicrafts or Do It Yourself (DIY) kits and others.

Established in 2010, TIEC aims to drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the local ICT industry through building the capacity of enterprises and individuals, providing innovation assessment and certification services, and participating in national innovation initiatives.
