The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) continues to carry out the Applied Program in Sustainable Digital Project Management in different governorates. The aim is to develop the knowledge and skills of employees in governorates general bureaus and affiliated directorates, centers, and departments in digital project management.
The program took place in Beheira from July 30 to August 1. It was organized under the auspices of the ICT Minister and the Governor of Beheira. A total of 31 employees responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on national and investment projects participated in the program.
In Sohag, the program was held on August 14-16, under the auspices of the ICT Minister and the Governor of Sohag and the supervision of senior officials from MCIT and the governorate. The program was attended by 32 employees responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on national and investment projects.
Through the program, employees are trained to achieve sustainable resource management and use digital project management tools in short- and medium-term project planning and execution. The aim is to optimize resources, cut spending, reduce waste, and protect the environment, in addition to achieving digital institutional development in the governorates, upskilling employees, and leveraging digitization to manage operations efficiently.
The applied program on sustainable digital project management comes within the framework of the Digital Egypt strategy and as part of MCIT efforts in attaining institutional development to support digital transformation. Efforts include building staff and managers’ capacity in digital administration to help institutions embrace digital transformation and ensure its sustainability. The program builds on the outcomes of the periodic visits and meetings of officials from MCIT and governorates to bring about institutional development and digital transformation and maintain sustainability.
