The E-Learning Competence Center (ELCC), affiliated with the Central Department for Digital Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), participated in the Partners Meeting to review the latest developments in the Online Pharmacogenomics and Personalized Medicine Postgraduate Program (OPPM).
The meeting was held at the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology - Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH) Campus Kiel in Germany, on September 7-8.
OPPM aims to develop the scientific content of the first-of-their-kind diploma and master's degrees in pharmacogenomics and personalized medicine in the Middle East, and convert this content into interactive e-content.
OPPM is funded by Erasmus+, the European Union (EU) programme for education, training, youth, and sport, to build capabilities and share experiences. About 13 academic and non-academic entities from Egypt, Lebanon, England, Spain, Germany, and Greece participated in it.
ELCC teamwork is training faculty staff to produce interactive e-content, oversee and develop the e-content production, and maintain high quality, according to relevant international standards.
OPPM demonstrates the state's commitment to sustainable development in the medical industry and scientific research, and to providing scientific e-content to pharmacists and doctors in Egypt and abroad.
ELCC was founded in 2004 by MCIT in collaboration with Cisco Systems. The Center is a leading organization in the field of e-learning, with a proven track record and extensive experience in organizing in-depth courses in e-learning and e-content production.
