ITI Celebrates New Cohort of Interior Design Graduates

The Information Technology Institute (ITI) has hosted a ceremony recognizing a new cohort of graduates of the Interior Design track of the Intensive Code Camp (ICC) program. The ceremony was attended by industry partners and field experts.
Part of the ceremony was dedicated to graduation project presentations. Academic representatives from several universities, including October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) and the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University, attended the presentations.
The four-month program focused on four categories. The first is Design Techniques where learners received training on design history, design process, furniture design, drawing and sketching, material technology, and stainable furniture design. The second is 2D Presentation Techniques, covering computer-aided design (AutoCAD), Photoshop for furniture design, and vector art for interior design.
The third category is 3D Presentation Techniques. It featured several topics such as 3D modeling, Metaverse for designers, and cloth and fabric simulation, among others. The trainees were also equipped with market skills. Topics addressed in the fourth category included site visits and business sessions, communication skills, presentation skills, freelancing, and interview skills.
ITI is one of the training arms of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Offering a wide variety of capacity-building programs and professional training in technology fields, ITI works to build youth capacity and qualify them for the IT job marketplace.
