MCIT Empowers Giza Government Employees to Manage Projects Digitally

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and Giza Governorate concluded a three-day  applied program in the fundamentals of digital project management on October 24-26, under the auspices of the ICT Minister and Giza Governor.

The program equipped 30 employees responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring national and investment projects in Giza with the knowledge and skills to use digital tools and technologies to manage projects more efficiently and effectively.

The program's primary goal is to train Giza Governorate employees in sustainable resource management and digital project management tools to ensure efficient and effective project implementation and management in the short and medium term. This helps to optimize available resources, reduce spending and waste, and protect the environment.

The program is aligned with the digital institutional development plan in Giza, which aims to develop employees' digital skills, improve work performance, and leverage digitization to boost the efficiency of government operations.

The training was part of the Digital Egypt strategy and MCIT digital institutional development efforts to achieve digital transformation in Giza. These efforts included building the digital capacity of staff and managers to help institutions adopt and sustain digital transformation.

The program is informed by the outcomes of periodic visits and meetings between MCIT and governorate officials, ensuring that it aligns with institutional development and digital transformation goals and supports long-term sustainability.
