ITIDA Raises Awareness of IPR Protection in Gharbia

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Office at ITIDA, and the Digital Economy and Technology General Division (DETGD) of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC) are jointly organizing a workshop focused on intellectual property rights (IPRs) protection. This workshop is specifically designed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and other software companies. The event is scheduled to take place on November 7, at the Chamber of Commerce in Gharbia Governorate.

The workshop's primary objective is to enhance awareness regarding the protection of IPRs. It will tackle legal challenges encountered by small businesses, including aspects of product investment. The event will also delve into various strategies for safeguarding, registering, assessing, and effectively managing IPRs, as well as enforcing legal measures and monitoring IPR infringement. Additionally, it will provide insights into the role of ITIDA IPR Office and streamline the licensing procedures for software companies.

It's worth noting that the IPR Office serves as the central authority mandated by law to serve the public, including individuals, companies, and investors in Egypt. Its role encompasses the regulation of activities related to the issuance of activity licenses and certificates of registration for software, databases, and websites, as well as various other licenses and certificates associated with the enforcement of intellectual property rights law.

The workshop starts at 11:00 AM. To register to attend, kindly click here.
