The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has concluded the Project Management Professional Exam Preparation program for employees at the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities. The program was organized under the auspices of the ICT Minister and the Minister of Housing.
The program aimed to build the trainees’ capacity in digital project management. It was joined by 33 employees at the Ministry of Housing and affiliated potable water and wastewater agencies and companies.
The training was delivered as part of a plan to bring about digital institutional development in state agencies. The plan entails building digital dexterity, improving work performance, and employing digital tools in government operations.
The participants were trained to maintain sustainable resource management and use digital project management tools in the planning and execution of short and medium-term projects to help optimize resources, cut spending, reduce waste, and protect the environment.
The Project Management Professional Exam Preparation program was carried out in light of the Digital Egypt strategy and as part of MCIT efforts to attain institutional development to support digital transformation. The Ministry builds staff and managers’ capacity in digital administration to help institutions embrace and sustain digital transformation.
The program builds on the outcomes of the visits and meetings of officials from the two ministries to review the efforts made to sustain institutional development and digital transformation in the Ministry of Housing and its affiliates.
