MCIT, MLD Conclude Digital Project Management Program

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the Ministry of Local Development (MLD) have concluded the comprehensive digital project management program, organized on November 19-23 under the auspices of the ICT Minister and the Minister of Local Development.

The program equipped 31 employees responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on national and investment projects, from 13 governorates, with digital project management knowledge and skills. The governorates included Kafr El-Sheikh, South Sinai, Dakahlia, New Valley, Damietta, Port Said, Alexandria, Beheira, Aswan, Sohag, Menoufia, Ismailia, and Qena.

Employees, through the program, were trained to achieve sustainable resource management and use digital project management tools in the implementation of short and medium-term projects. This helps optimize available resources, rationalize spending, reduce waste, and protect the environment.

Additionally, the program will contribute to executing the digital institutional development plan in the governorates, enhancing employees' digital skills, improving work performance, and utilizing digitization to enhance government operations' efficiency.

The training was carried out as part of the Digital Egypt strategy and MCIT efforts to attain institutional development to support digital transformation in the governorates. These efforts include building the digital capacity of employees and leaders to help institutions adopt and sustain digital transformation.

The program builds on the outcomes of periodic visits and meetings among officials from MCIT, MLD, and the governorates to review institutional development and digital transformation efforts in the governorates and ensure business sustainability in affiliated agencies and companies.
