MCIT, Aswan Governorate Launch Aswan LMS Platform

The E-Learning Competence Center (ELCC) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in collaboration with Aswan Governorate and the Directorate of Education in Aswan, has introduced the Aswan Learning Management System (LMS), an e-learning platform for supporting fourth-grade students. It was launched within the framework of the Digital Transformation for Sustainable Development (DT4SDE) project.

This step falls under the cooperation protocol between MCIT and Aswan Governorate, with the objective of fostering digital community development for citizens in Aswan. It is a concerted effort to leverage both human and technological resources to comprehensively achieve various facets of development.

The launch came during a visit conducted by the team responsible for implementing the cooperation protocol to Mohammed Mekkawy Yacoub Language School, in the presence of officials from Aswan Governorate and the Directorate of Education.

Aswan LMS holds significant importance as it facilitates the connection between students and seasoned educators, helping enhance the overall educational experience. Moreover, it offers alternatives to address the demand for teachers in certain subjects, contributing to the development of the learning experience by integrating technology and aligning with the transition towards a digital society.

So far, five schools in Aswan have joined the platform. Improved telecommunication services and internet connectivity will be deployed to extend the platform's reach to all schools throughout the governorate.

MCIT remains committed to offering specialized training to foster the e-learning industry and create job opportunities in this field. This week, ELCC is conducting training sessions in e-content creation and digital lesson production at Aswan University, aiming to enhance the capabilities of both students and faculty members.
