11th ITU/WHO Focus Group on AI for Health Meeting

The 11th Meeting of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and World Health Organization (WHO) Focus Group on Artificial Intelligence for Health (FG-AI4H) was organized on January 27-29, as a virtual event. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) participated in the Meeting.

The FG-AI4H works in partnership with WHO to establish a standardized assessment framework for the evaluation of AI-based methods for health, diagnosis, triage or treatment decisions. The group was established by ITU-T Study Group 16 at its meeting in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on July 9-20, 2018.

The 11th ITU/WHO FG-AI4H Meeting was held as part of the activities of the AI for Good Global Summit, the leading United Nations (UN) platform for inclusive dialogue on AI. The Summit identifies practical applications of AI to accelerate progress towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and builds collaboration to assist these applications in achieving global impact.
