Huawei Launches Regional Technical Assistance and Training Center in Cairo


China-based Huawei Technologies launched its Regional Technical Assistance and Training Center in Cairo under the auspices of Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Tarek Kamel. The ceremony of the event will take place on the sidelines of the company’s customer conference that will be attended by Mr. Wu Sike, Chinese Ambassador to Egypt along with key industry players from around the Middle East and Asia.

Dr. Tarek Kamel also witnessed the signing of a new contract between Telecom Egypt and Huawei by which the latter will expand the wireless fixed network for Telecom Egypt using CDMA technology. Huawei was chosen based on its advanced technological capabilities, high-quality services.

The Center stands on 3000 square meters with investments worth $3 million and will cater to all its clients’ needs including emergency support and restoration services, solutions validation, and root investigation services in addition to a variety of other services.

The Center will offer a comprehensive program for its Egyptian and MENA clients’ high caliber engineers and technical experts by means of a training curriculum depending on practical examples, which has been prepared to include measurable goals and takes clients’ needs into consideration and all Huawei products and solutions.
