Egypt PC 2010 – Nation Online Launched in Cairo ICT

Egypt PC 2010 – Nation Online initiative was launched Sunday in Cairo ICT 2007 Exhibition in the presence of Minister of Communications and Information technology Dr. Tarek Kamel, IT experts and the exhibition visitors.

Egypt PC 2010 – Nation Online initiative is a new phase of the "PC for Every Home" initiative launched December 2003.

The new initiative aims at encouraging the different Egyptian society segments to master computer and internet usage.

This, in turn, will help enhance and develop the efficiency of different fields and sectors like education, health, tourism, investment and service provision.

The initiative partners are: Ministry of Communications and IT, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Telecom Egypt, Banque Misr, National Bank of Egypt, Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) as well as about 17 private sector IT companies.

The project offers PCs and notebooks at affordable prices. Computers are sold by installments and provided with three year-warranty. 

The PCs start at  LE 1585 with monthly installment starting LE 42, while laptops prices begin with LE 3900 with monthly installments starting LE 114.

Computers are guaranteed by fixed phone lines or the usual banking guarantees.

Original software and operating systems are provided.

The project offers international brands like Acer, Dell, HP and IBM Lenovo as well as local brands like GS, Centra, Challenger, GSM, ICON and OMAX.

High quality, efficient technical support and after-sales-services are offered through the project''s partners and its hotline (19246).
