Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Nielsen Company to establish a global center for treating and analyzing economic information to be suited in Egypt’s Smart Village.
The new center will serve global companies in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa by delivering combination of empirical economic information, market intelligence, advanced analytical tools, and integrated marketing solutions to these countries.
The center is expected to create about 225 job opportunities for Egyptian graduates.
MOU was signed between Eng. Mohamed Omran, CEO of ITIDA and Mr. Lenart Bengston Nielsen, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa (EEMEA) regional manager.
Established as an affiliate to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, ITIDA aims at diffusing the e-government and e-business services in Egypt and supporting Egypt’s export-oriented IT industry.
