ITIDA Signs Cooperation Agreement with Eitesal on Capacity Building of Member IT Companies


Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and
Egyptian Information Telecommunications Electronics and Software Alliance (Eitesal) signed today a cooperation agreement on raising the potential and capacity building of Eitesal's member companies working in the information and communications technology (ICT) field.
 
Based on the one-year agreement, ITIDA will support Eitesal to provide its member IT companies with specialized professional training courses. The agency will also sponsor and help in the implementation of projects linked to marketing Eitesal's member companies' products and qualifying them to compete on the local, regional and international levels.
 
Minister Kamel stated that this agreement marks a key step in the strategy of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to maximize Egyptian IT companies’ competitive edge and empower them to enter new markets and compete globally.
 
Dr. Kamel added that this will further help boost Egypt's IT exports, expected to reach a total of $1.1 billion by 2010 as part of MCIT's strategy.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel witnessed the agreement signing. ITIDA CEO Dr. Hazem Abdelazim and Eitesal Chairman Eng. Tarek El Hemaily co-signed the agreement.
