Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel witnessed today the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and ICC International Company (Esnad).
ITIDA will support the activities of Esnad in exporting business process outsourcing (BPO) services in the fields of finance, accounting, market studies and call centers.
ITIDA CEO Dr. Hazem Abdelazim, BDO CEO Jerry Newman and Esnad CEO Dr. Taha Khalid signed the agreement.
The agreement falls within the strategy of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) that focuses on raising Egypt's BPO exports, especially after several specialized international reports had ranked the country among the best BPO world destinations.
Dr. Kamel stated that the agreement came as part of establishing Egypt as a promising market. Egypt, he added, has become a regional hub hosting international companies and offering them competitive advantages.
According to Dr. Abdelazim, ITIDA will provide Esnad the necessary support required for training 1600 trainee over three years as well as acquiring international certifications in accounting and auditing like COPC and CMMI through Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC), an ITIDA affiliate. In return, at least 80% of the trainees, about 1200 persons, must be Egyptians.
Esnad is a member in BDO International, the fifth biggest company in the world offering financial and accounting consultancy and services.
