"Our Future : Our Synergy Match Making" Event Kicks Off


Minister of ICT, Dr. Magued Osman: our goal is to exchange expertise and harmonize resources to confront challenges and far beyond, access new markets and increase exports of IT services.

Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Magued Osman inaugurated, today, forum for IT companies named “Our Future: Our Synergy Match Making". The event is organized by Egyptian Information Telecommunications Electronics and Software Alliance (Eitesal). 

The forum comes within the framework of the invitation addressed by Ministry of Communications and Information Technology to establish clusters capable of facing challenges and maximizing the benefits of the available resources.
The forum aims to assemble the largest number of Egyptian IT companies as exhibitors and visitors to get acquainted with each other and form clusters in a way that could lead to full integration between IT companies.

This is also through organizing mutual meetings discussing common challenges and similar economic circumstances.

Sixty five Egyptian IT companies as well as various foreign companies working in Egypt participated at the forum. Such a participation of the foreign companies aims to open new horizons to small and medium enterprises through displaying ideas, visions to start up partnerships during the forum. 
Minister of ICT, Dr. Magued Osman announced that the forum comes within the framework of the tremendous efforts of the Ministry of ICT to open new horizons for small and medium IT companies.

MCIT efforts entail obtaining funds of the social fund, encouraging programs to pump money to companies, such as Export IT Program or even, establishing partnerships that will, in turn, lift the companies’ stocks, such as the partnership with the Nile Stock Exchange (NILEX) and others.

According to H.E. Dr.  Magued Osman, attracting more investments, and ensuring ongoing training programs to university students to enhance the market with highly skilled candidates needed for the economic leap are the main priority of the Ministry during the coming period. The Ministry also focuses on the new channels of the ICT industry, such as hardware, stressing on the value of IT and its role in the society.

Dr. Osman also stressed that the current phase should lead us to explore our strengths and focus on them. He added that the true strength of this sector is its innovation, creative abilities, organizational potential, and keenness to maintain its strengths, effectiveness and efficiency in the society.

The forum aims to encourage IT companies in order to exchange expertise, harmonize resources, opportunities, forming strong, sustainable clusters confronting challenges and crisis, decreasing costs, increasing activities, providing integrated solutions of all ranges for all customers, opening new markets on the national and international levels, providing new products, amending current products, and analyzing the Egyptian industry in this domain.

EITISAL Chairman, Mr. Tarek El Hemely announced that Eitisal association seeks through this forum to support, and stimulate ICT companies to gain experience from national and international companies. He pointed out that the current circumstances necessitate the launch of more cooperation channels with developed countries in IT sector, especially that the ICT sector is one of the prominent sectors which was able to maintain its stability during the revolution.

During the event, a session was held to display the successful experiences of the ICT small and medium enterprises related to information system and technology exports to the Arab, European countries as well as the United States of America, as well as their visions to increase exports and expand the access to international markets.
