As part of the cooperation over the past years between Huawei Global Enterprise and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI), Mr. Atef Helmy inaugurated today Huawei Authorized Network Academy “HANA” laboratory at NTI premises in Smart Village.
The laboratory aims to train engineering students as well as fresh graduates on the latest communication networks technologies worldwide.
In this context, Mr. Helmy declared that the inauguration of such a specialized laboratory comes under the umbrella of the human development programs systems implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The laboratory, he adds, comes as part of NTI specialized training programs dedicated for the skills development of engineers. For this purpose, NTI is keen to support distinct partnerships with major international ICT training institutions fulfilling the Egyptian and global market needs.
Furthermore, Mr. Hemly assures that the opening of HANA Laboratory reflects the deep support for the continuous expansion skill development and renewal of the communications infrastructure, through training of graduates and specialized engineers in the telecommunications sector, in addition to government employees on the latest communications technology.
He points out that there are distinct jobs waiting for those trainees to participate with their creative ideas in building the communications networks technology future which would attract capital, investment and international specialized companies’ expertise in these domains to the Egyptian market.
NTI Director, Prof. Magdy El Soudani, says that based on the agreement between the Institute and Huawei Global in this regard, the latter shall provide the necessary technical support which includes the advanced hardware required for the new laboratory as well as the educational content for the advanced training programs, in addition to providing Training of Trainers (ToT) programs for the NTI engineers and calibers.
The agreement reflects the Institute keenness to transfer expertise and advanced technologies of specialized global companies in this field in Egypt. This has always been NTI’s mission.
Huawei Global Cairo Office Regional Director, Mr. Robinson declares that the official inauguration of "HANA" Lab. reflects Huawei’s deep belief in its responsibilities towards communities in which it has achieved remarkable successes.
Out of Huawei commitment to fully transfer its expertise in the advanced technologies field, as its applications serve all life aspects in the various communities, Huawei is so keen to pump part of its profits in the form of new investments in these countries to serve development objectives and deepen cooperation and friendliness with their people on all levels.
NTI had also signed partnership agreement with Huawei Global to serve as a Huawei Authorized Training Partner (HALP) to provide qualified calibers that are well-trained on the latest networking systems, to serve operating companies in the sector, along with granting them international certification to enable them to compete in the local, regional and global labor market. Huawei Global Enterprise shall supply the necessary equipment for the new lab by the end of February 2013.
