Eitesal Association Holds Seminar for Integrated Solutions Companies

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Atef Helmy took part in the seminar organized by Eitesal Association, a civil society organization working in the field of ICT, where cooperation between integrated solutions companies of ETISAL Association, international ICT organizations and Small and Medium Enterprises to implement national projects—according to law number 67 for 2010 with Public Private Partnership—was discussed.

Discussions also tackled the best practices to form coalitions, means of funding, and implementation mechanisms, under the terms and conditions of law number 67. In his speech, Helmy talked about MCIT strategy to implement its future projects using PPP model.

The Ministry’s plan includes a number of major national projects to ease services for the benefit of citizens, development of government work system, reduction of cost, and achievement of fresh revenues for the State. Helmy has said that some projects are to be implemented according to PPP model, on top of which are the real estate notarization office development, smart meters and trade registry projects. A number of MCIT officials, as well as representatives of ministries of Finance, Justice, Electricity were present.

This is in addition to a number of global companies working in Egypt, and a group of integrated solutions companies affiliated to Eitesal association. The implementation- through PPP model- contributes to the development of Egypt’s local market and the transfer of foreign expertise to the Egyptian market, thus entrenching the participation of micro, small and medium companies in the implementation national projects. The projects come in line with the ICT strategy and has been approved by the PPP projects’ ministerial committee.
