The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ELKady commenced, today, the duties of his post at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) by meeting with the former ICT Minister Khaled Negm.

Negm  briefed the ICT minister over all the developments that the sector has witnessed during the recent period and wished him success in his work through the coming period which needs a lot of effort and time to meet the expectations of citizens in this vital sector.

For his part, ELKady expressed his deep appreciation to Khaled Negm who took office in a critical period, and exerted a lot of efforts for serving the sector and its employees. He pointed out that Negm undertook his duties showing patriotism and efficiency,  and his first concern was the sector and the citizen’s benefit. ElKady affirmed, at the same time, his intention to maintain those efforts that are in favor of the sector and citizens.

ElKady met also with a number of the sector officials and discussed, as well, a number of important issues associated with ICT industry. He asked them to prepare a comprehensive report containing the outlines of MCIT plan in the next phase to raise the level of services provided by ICT sector to the citizens, accelerate completing the current projects, and monitor the challenges and the most pressing requirements needed to complete these projects.
