The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Yasser ElKady has received Saleem Haque, the Vice President of Oracle, the global company for advanced technical support services, and Oracle Egypt CEO Basil Mubarak, and other officials of Oracle, to brief the ICT Minister on Oracle achievements and business plans at the current stage, especially in the field of advanced technical support services offered remotely to Oracle customers around the world from the company's headquarters in Cairo. The meeting is within the framework of the sector's strategy for exporting technological services, and creating a base of specialists in the field of technical support.
In this context, ElKady referred to the national project adopted by the state and implemented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to enable technological calibers in advanced disciplines to serve the strategic projects and enhance the growth of the Egyptian industry. The ICT Minister stated that the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) will provide professional engineers to meet the company's needs of potential technical personnel to support the implementation of the expansion plans that the company aspire to achieve in Egypt.
Haque ascertained that the Company is interested to expand its business in Egypt, especially that the region has recently experienced a development in the field of applying databases management systems and advanced technical support services. On the other hand, he praised the high level of the specialized Egyptian calibers and the skills they possess. During the meeting, Mubarak stated that the company maintains appointing outstanding human skilled resources, as per the company's expansion plan in Egypt, presented to the ICT Minister last year.
