A joint meeting has been held for discussing cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the General Healthcare Authority, in institutional development and digital transformation.
This comes in light of the directives of the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, pertaining to coordinating with the State institutions to implement MCIT strategy for institutional development using the digital transformation, with the aim to develop operational excellence policies for the State administrative apparatus units, as well as developing the digital transformation units.
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy ICT Minister for Institutional Development Ghada Labib and the Head of the General Healthcare Authority Ahmed El-Sobky, in the presence of representatives of the Information Infrastructure Sector at MCIT, the institutional development team and the General Healthcare Authority team.
The meeting introduced the General Healthcare Authority, presented the international experiences of similar healthcare systems around the world, and discussed the areas of cooperation for developing the information systems and digital transformation department at the Authority.
The two sides agreed on the importance of creating a new work model for the Authority, that helps achieve digital transformation. This includes reducing procedures, speeding up information circulation, producing measurement indicators, putting the digital transformation unit into force and supporting decision making. This is on addition to working on qualifying and training calibers to implement the new model.
The meeting concluded with conceptualizing the work frame between MCIT and the Authority, in the coming period
The meeting is one in a series of preparational meetings between MCIT and the Authority, following a number of meetings in MCIT premises.
The cooperation comes within the framework of MCIT vision for building the digital Egypt, and in its mandate to develop cooperation mechanisms with other ministries and government bodies involved in implementing government services development projects. This is in addition to reshaping and automating the office work cycle in such entities, in a way that helps create an enabling environment for improving the quality of services they render.
