ICT Minister Meets Estonian PM, Visits Cabinet Headquarters to Explore e-Government Experience


The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has met with the Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas during his visit to the headquarters of the Council of Ministers, heading a delegation including senior officials from the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). The aim of the visit was to explore Estonia’s e-government experience.

Kallas welcomed the ICT Minister and his delegation and said that she looks forward to cooperating with Egypt in digital transformation.

During the meeting, Talaat said that Egypt is eager to learn from Estonia's leading experience in digital transformation, digital data management, and digital technology adoption to optimize government performance and build an e-government as part of Egypt’s efforts to transform into an integrated digital society.

The meetings were attended by Egypt’s Ambassador to Finland and Non-Resident Ambassador to Estonia Haitham Salah; Deputy Minister for Administrative Development, Digital Transformation and Automation Khaled El Attar; Assistant Minister for Strategy and Implementation Sherine El-Guindy; and Vice President of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency and Chairperson of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) Hossam Osman.
