ICT Minister Opens Two Offices of Concentrix Egypt


The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has opened two offices of Concentrix Egypt, a global customer experience (CX) services company. The two new offices are part of the company's plan to expand its business in Egypt.

Vice President Service Delivery – EMEA Operations at Concentrix Ludovic Lapier and Country Head at Concentrix – Egypt Yamen Bahaa attended the inauguration.

Concentrix Egypt targets providing 3,500 job opportunities during 2022, bringing the size of its workforce in Egypt to 8,500 employees. The company aims to reach 15,000 employees by 2025, with positive returns of $250 million annually.

Talaat inaugurated one new office in Smart Village and the other in Maadi via video conference.

Commenting on the opening, the ICT Minister highlighted that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is keen to create an enabling environment for investment and prepare a talent pool for companies operating in the Egyptian ICT sector. He added that Digital Egypt Strategy for Offshoring Industry 2022-2026 was launched, featuring an investment incentive package for international and local companies, to improve the competitiveness of the overall offshoring industry in Egypt.

The country enjoys a large base of digitally-skilled young people, Talaat remarked. He outlined MCIT efforts in implementing a training and capacity-building strategy and said that the budget for technology training was multiplied 22 times in three years. Talaat commended the company's plan to invest in Egypt, adding that he looked forward to the company's investments growing in Egypt and to its business in exporting services expanding.

For his part, Bahaa talked business development and outlined the company's multiple uses of IT applications. He discussed the 2025 growth plan in cooperation with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
