ICT Minister Heads to Amman to Partake in MENA ICT Forum, Discuss Cooperation in ICT, Post with Jordanian Counterpart


The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed, today, to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to participate for one day in MENA ICT Forum 2022.
 
Held every two years under the patronage of the Jordanian monarch, MENA ICT Forum is one of the most famous and largest conferences concerned with ICT and entrepreneurship in the region.

The Forum aims to highlight the role of technology in developing solutions to pressing global challenges that most nations face, especially with the impact of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic. The two-day Forum will discuss many topics during the sessions, most notably Artificial Intelligence (AI), FinTech, and smart industries.

The Forum brings together entrepreneurs as well as regional and global startups in interactive sessions and workshops held to enhance the skills necessary to accelerate their startups’ growth and create the opportunity to meet and communicate with investors, businessmen, and executives of local and global companies.

An exhibition that includes pavilions of local, Arab and international companies as well as national pavilions that include companies from Egypt and different countries worldwide, will be held, offering companies the opportunity to network with Jordanian companies and showcase their products and business solutions provided to different sectors.

The ICT Minister is due to partake in a session during MENA ICT Forum 2022. He will highlight the state's vision of digital transformation, digital services, and efforts of cooperation between the government and the private sector in achieving digital transformation. This is in addition to sharing the Egyptian experience and expertise with other Arab countries.

Talaat will also meet the Jordanian Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Ahmad Hanandeh to discuss enhancing cooperation between the two countries in ICT and Post.
