ICT Minister to Lead Egyptian-Indian Talks on Cooperation in ICT, Electronics

Egyptian-Indian talks are starting tomorrow in New Delhi between an Egyptian delegation headed by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, and Indian government officials and CEOs of major ICT companies and academic institutions. They will discuss strengthening cooperation in various ICT fields and attracting Indian investments to the Egyptian market.

The talks are within the ICT Minister’s visit to India, on January 9-13, to explore the successful Indian experience in ICT. The visit is part of the efforts made by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to establish international partnerships to transfer knowledge, develop the IT industry, achieve digital transformation, and promote local manufacturing.

Talaat and his accompanying delegation are to hold a meeting with officials from an Indian academic institution to discuss cooperation in building digital capabilities. They will also meet with officials from major ICT institutions and companies in India to discuss cooperation and investment in several areas, most notably digital transformation, IT, technology innovation, and electronics manufacturing.
