MCIT’s Software Engineering Certification Center (SECC) is organizing a series of training courses which starts today. Titled “Software Improvement Training Course”, the trainees are instructed on defining & implementing essential sets of polices, procedures and standards for the award of CMM Level 2 KPAs,. The course focuses on software project concerns when establishing basic project management controls, and emphasizes several fundemental aspects along the general software process.

The key process areas, which will be discussed during the course, will include the areas of Requirement Management, Software Project Planning, Software Project Tracking and Oversight, Software Subcontract Management, Software Quality Assurance, and Software Configuration Management.

Representatives of more than 30 Egyptian and multinational software companies operating in Egypt will participate in the training. Experts in the software engineering development field as well as select university professors will be lecturing.

SECC’s Mission: To promote and support the development of software industry in Egypt by elevating the standards of software engineering practices to higher maturity levels that will help in achieving strong presence in the international markets.
