Quality of Services

NTRA works to develop the Egyptian telecommunications market by adopting a vision that aims to achieve and maintain high quality.
NTRA performs monthly field measures and tests for mobile network operators (MNOs) in Egypt, following the latest scientific methods and international standards in Quality of Service (QoS) measurements and analysis. The aim is to ensure a true representation of user experience and a fair comparison of the networks’ performance.

The measures cover different areas, neighborhoods, and main roads in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Delta, Canal, the Red Sea, and Upper Egypt Governorates. The results of the measures include performance indicators for evaluating voice, data, and video streaming services. The indicators cover dropped calls rate, voice quality, and download and upload speeds.
