- International and Region Cooperation
NTRA represents Egypt in the international spectrum management-related events at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), such as the meetings of the ITU Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) and World Radiocommunication Conferences (WRC). NTRA discusses the interests of Egypt in relevant international events to help facilitate spectrum availability at the international level.

At the regional level, NTRA cooperates with Arab and African countries and regional groups involved in spectrum management worldwide. As a result of NTRA sustained and successful regional cooperation, Egypt is a principal partner to all regional and international groups concerned with spectrum management.

o Spectrum and Wireless Device Usage Fees
NTRA sets fees for the usage of spectrum and wireless devices under a decision by its board of directors. Users of the spectrum and wireless devices pay the fees unless the law stipulates otherwise. NTRA grants users licenses after the agreed fees are collected.

o Spectrum Monitoring
Spectrum monitoring is one of the main steps required to streamline the use of the locally-regulated spectrum to protect its usage against interference.
